How Sarafi Iranian works

The price

Several times a minute we read the price of the dollar, euro, Tether, gold and coins from several Iranian exchanges and sources. Their median is the basis of our price, and the spread between buying and selling is applied to it. When the sources disagree or are stale, we show no price rather than a doubtful one.

The quote

2. 2A quote is issued with a firm price, the final amount in tomans, and a lifetime.
3. 3Confirm within that time and the trade happens at that price.
4. 4The receipt is in your activity straight away.

A quote means the risk of the price moving in those seconds is ours, not yours.

Settlement

When you confirm, one balance goes down and the other goes up, both in a single database transaction: either both happen or neither does. There is no state in which money has left one side and not arrived at the other.

Deposits and withdrawals

• Tomans: you transfer to the exchange's bank account and enter the reference. A reviewer matches the transfer against the bank statement and your balance goes up.
• Crypto: every customer has their own deposit address on each network, and a deposit is credited once the network has confirmed it deeply enough.
• Withdrawals: to a destination you registered and that has been approved, after approval by someone other than the requester.

The peer-to-peer market

On the peer-to-peer market you trade with other customers, not with the exchange. The seller's asset is locked in escrow, the buyer pays the seller's account and uploads the receipt on the trade screen, and the seller releases the asset by confirming the payment arrived. If there is a disagreement, a reviewer decides on both sides' evidence.

Remittance

To send money abroad, you choose the route and destination country; the amount in tomans and in the destination currency is fixed before you pay, and you follow the remittance until it is delivered.
